Anne Harmon is a painter born in North Dakota, living in New York for 25 years.  She studied Life Drawing at UCLA before moving to Europe to continue her studies in art, language and culture.  There she studied sculpture in Lucerne, Switzerland and settled in Florence, Italy at L'Accademia de Belli Arte to focus on painting.  After all her travels, Anne found her abstract paintings sprawled into wide skies similar to the vistas she left behind on the plains.  This connection to nature continues to inform her paintings.  Her work has been shown in galleries in Rome, Florence and New York.  For the past twenty years, she has been working as a scenic artist in film, tv and theater and most recently held a permanent position at the Metropolitan Opera.  She is currently living and working in Nyack, NY.
